Born and Raised in New York City, I moved around frequently, Canada, Florida, and pretty much every borough of New York City. In Kindergarten I was interested in most creative mediums, but I latched onto illustration, drawing was my thing. If I had a pencil or a pen, I would find anything just to sketch out my ideas I would draw on napkins, paper plates, receipts, pretty much anything that I could write on. Years later, after winning art awards in school, and being accepted into the prestigious High School of Art & Design in Manhattan, I began teaching myself graphic & Web Design, 14 years old a freshman in high school already working for myself. When I received my first freelance design payment, I thought to myself, I've been drawing since I was three years old, I guess it was just a matter of time before I took my artwork to the next level.
After High School I decided to try college, but I learned that due to my previous professional design experience I was not learning anything new. The only way I could take my design to the next level is to Intern at a graphic design firm. A friend of mine was working at a firm in Tampa, Florida, and he showed my work to the owner of the firm. He loved my work and offered me an instant internship. After a few months at the firm I moved back to New York City where I landed a design position where I worked for clients such as HSBC bank, Mercedes Benz, Met Life, and a slew of other notable brands. I sought a higher income I freelanced for myself on a greater level and decided to brand my services with a company name. Thusly Final DNA was born.
I continued to freelance while I worked as an Art Director at a firm in New Jersey. Due to the distance from Manhattan to New Jersey, I left that firm and worked at a Music Label in Manhattan where I was Creative Director,Head of A&R, and part-time recording engineer. The stress of juggling multiple positions left me at a fork in the road, work for someone else, or solely for myself. Needless to say, I now solely freelance and will be taking Final DNA to the next level in the next few years. This is what I'm meant to do because being creative and helping companies execute their vision is what I do best.
